ACC & Funding

ACC Podiatry

If you've injured your foot or lower limb, you may be eligible for ACC-funded podiatry treatment.

At Masterton Foot Clinic, we are ACC-registered providers and can assess your injury, lodge a new ACC claim where appropriate, and provide ongoing treatment to help you recover as quickly and safely as possible.

You do not need a referral to see us, and you do not need an existing ACC claim before booking an appointment.

If your injury meets ACC's eligibility criteria, we can usually manage the entire process, from your initial assessment through to treatment, rehabilitation, and, where appropriate, referrals for further investigations.

How We Can Help Under ACC

Depending on your injury, we can:

  • Assess your injury and lodge a new ACC claim where appropriate.
  • Provide treatment for eligible ACC injuries.
  • Refer you for X-rays or ultrasound imaging when clinically indicated.
  • Develop a rehabilitation plan to help you return to work, sport, and everyday activities.
  • Provide ACC-subsidised or fully funded orthotic devices where they meet ACC funding criteria through our ACC Allied Health Contract.

Our aim is to make accessing ACC-funded podiatry care as straightforward as possible, allowing you to focus on your recovery.

We regularly assess and manage accidental injuries including:

  • Ankle sprains.

ACC Orthotics & Bracing

Masterton Foot Clinic holds an ACC Allied Health Contract, allowing us to provide subsidised or fully funded orthotic devices when they are clinically indicated for the management of an eligible ACC injury.

Depending on your injury, this may include:

  • Custom Foot Orthoses.

  • Knee braces.

We'll discuss your eligibility during your assessment and explain any costs before treatment proceeds.

Why Choose Masterton Foot Clinic for Your ACC Injury?

Recovering from an injury involves more than simply treating the painful area. Our goal is to identify the underlying cause of your injury, support your recovery, and help reduce the risk of it happening again.

When you choose Masterton Foot Clinic, you benefit from:

  • No GP referral required, you can come directly to us after an eligible injury.
  • On-site ACC claim lodgement where appropriate.
  • Referral for X-rays and ultrasound imaging when clinically indicated.
  • ACC Allied Health Contract, allowing access to subsidised or fully funded orthotic devices where funding criteria are met.
  • Comprehensive rehabilitation planning to help you return to work, sport, and everyday activities.
  • Experienced clinicians with more than 25 years of experience assessing and managing foot and lower-limb injuries.

Because your feet are the foundation of movement, an injury in one part of the lower limb can influence how your entire body moves. Our assessment looks beyond the site of injury to identify the factors contributing to your symptoms and help you return to moving with confidence.
